It is about time for us encourage our budding generation and community with Malaysian artworks. SH/FT–a contemporary Visual Art Exhibition–puts such limelight on homegrown artists and collectives right in Publika.

Held under the “Art in the City” program by CENDANA (the Cultural Economy Development Agency), artists and collectors can leverage on the platform to showcase and sell their unique works of art to the wider public.

The exhibition features more than 170 artworks from 42 independent Malaysian artists and these artworks are predominantly new and specifically created for SH/FT 2019.
Malaysian visitors may find significance in the the themed exhibition–focusing on “change”. Surrounding the theme of SH/FT <Identity>, SH/FT <Technology> and SH/FT <Pop Culture>, artworks trancends beyond paintings to printed works, art installations, audio visual and performance.

The launch of SH/FT was officiated by Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Khairul Anwar Salleh, Vice President, Chief of Malay and Nusantara Content Management Group, Astro, and EXCO Member of CENDANA, who highlighted the importance of creating strategic platforms like SH/FT that not only recognise the artistic abilities of our local talents but also, fuel the creative sector while contributing to the economy.
