Sanrio Puroland, the indoor theme park in Tama New Town in Tokyo, Japan is hosting a unique summer festival for the first time ever since the theme park’s opening in 1990!
Puroland Summer Festival 2019 is happening from 12 July until 1 September 2019 at Hello Kitty Land Tokyo with three different events for visitors to experience.
Here’s what you can expect from Puroland Summer Festival 2019:
Music Festival
The central area of the theme park at Puro Village is turned into a music festival that incorporates various music genres from rock, hip-hop. techno and disco & soul. The much-loved Sanrio characters will also be staging live performances in costumes at the event.
Beach Fun Festival
Recharge at the special Hello Kitty Land indoor beach in the kawaii (cute) and colourful beach festival at Hello Kitty Land’s entertainment hall. Dressed in summer beachwear and glowing suntan, Hello Kitty and friends are ready for some fun fan meetings! Visitors can take advantage of the photo
Gastronomy Adventure
Both the food court and Entertainment Hall is turned into a “food and desserts” event where visitors can taste new summer food creations such as roast beef don and desserts like special edition Sanrio character ice-cream lollies. Be prepared, you’ll be torn to take a bite of the cute Sanrio-themed foods!
