Director and founder of Theatresauce, Kelvin Wong, introduces an invigorating spin to Sarah Kane’s 4.48 Psychosis play starting November 2nd till 12th at Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center (KLPAC).
A Real Life Story
Debuted 17 years ago in London’s Royal Court Theatre was 4.48 Psychosis performed posthumously on behalf of the playwright’s suicide and struggle with depression that is shown through the play. 4.48 serves as the time when the protagonist feels most awake and her mind is clearest.
This production will present a different side of depression compared to one that is commonly portrayed, adding colour to the dark representation of the clinical illness to make it more comprehensible. Watch how the protagonist combat with her mental illness that elucidate her memories, fears and aspirations.

Showtimes are on 8:30pm Nov 2 (Thursday) to Nov 4 (Saturday) and 3pm Nov 5 (Sunday) on the first week. From Nov 8 (Wednesday) till Nov 11 (Saturday) performances are at 8:30pm and 3pm Nov 12 (Sunday).
