8 February – 11 March 2018
The one remarkable thing about Malaysians is that we love to bond through sports. Our unity is impeccable when we stand together in cheering for our national team, turning the 2016 box-office hit movie OlaBola into a sing-a-long musical.
Love for 1980s Football Team
A multiracial brotherhood among “Tauke” Chow Kwok Keong leading his football team, Harimau Malaya, with striker Ali and goalkeeper Muthu to the 1980s Moscow Olympics is celebrated for their perseverance and unison in dream. Their inspirational journey also takes on a comical side with sports commentator wannabe Rahman together marching towards the big event.
Stadium on Stage
Tiara Jacquelina’s directorial debut shall demonstrate her talent in retelling the noble story and recreating a massive stadium crowd on stage in the local theatre industry. For 2 hours and 45 minutes, watch how Iedil Putra, Luqman Hafidz, Brian Chan, Stephen Rahman-Hughes, Altimet, Douglas Lim, Melissa Wong, Abi Manyu, Kai Chalmers and Lim Jian Wen perform this musical with a twist thanks to rap and hip-hop music production.
