Royal Caribbean, the Singapore-based cruise operator, announced its first international cruise after a break caused by coronavirus restrictions. This is stated in the company’s statement disseminated on June 2.
According to the statement, the ship will leave the Singapore port on June 30 for Malaysia where it will stop in the ports of Penang and Klang. The voyage starts at $310 Singapore dollars ($225) and passengers must be fully inoculated against COVID-19.
The Singapore Tourism Board expects to resume cruises to the Indonesian island of Bali and the Thai resort of Phuket by the end of the year.
Recall that international sea cruises in Singapore were stopped in March 2020. In November 2020 the government to support the tourism industry has launched a program of cruises “to nowhere” when the liner with tourists follows the route, not involving a call in other countries.
