Closing into 30 years of fandom, Malaysians are in luck to meet the 90s Irish romance heartthrob on Valentine’s Day. Ronan Keating, the lead singer of Boyzone is landing on Malaysia’s shores for his one-night-special “Love at 6118” concert at Resorts World Genting.
Keating first came into the pop scene with Boyzone’s successful debut in the 90s for their cover songs such as Osmonds’ “Love Me For A Reason” and Bee Gees’ “Words”. It wasn’t long until Keating gained global recognition as a soloist with his cover song of Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing At All” from the movie Notting Hill.
Subsequently, his debut album, “Ronan”, went on to sell 4.4 million copies worldwide. With much love from his fans, Keating’s long career currently boasts of ten solo albums and sold over 20 million records worldwide.
On a day filled with love, this Valentine’s is surely special with the charming singer serenading his hit songs on stage in Genting Highlands.
