Calling Joe’s MAC a record store is an under- statement, it is practically an emporium filled with LPs, Eps and 78s. Their selection includes local and foreign records as well as new and vintage vinyl. Just how much do they have? Around 24,000 records. Don’t worry, they are arranged alphabetically but popular artists get their own section like Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix. On top of the records, the place also doubles are a repair shop for turntables and amps. A music lover’s dream, right?

Dubbed by Vinyl Factory UK as one of the best records stores in the world, Hear Records is a haven for music lovers and collectors of vinyl. They currently stock over 4000 new and reissued vinyl and about 7000 used ones so you’ll be spoiled for choices. They also support the community where vinyl profits by local Singaporean artists are given to charity for needy kids. Their second store Hear2 reently opened at Chinatown.

Local music lovers can check out this cool joint for their vinyl fix. Though they do sell records from older artist like Pearl Jam, Miles Davis and The Smiths, it is good to note that they do stock up on current music influencers like Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay. Their indie music collection is an impressive one as well thanks to their sourcing from the UK and US.
